amendment 1
The first amendment says that everyone in the U.S. has the freedoms of religion, speech, press, peacefull protest, and petition. The goverment may not take away these rights or any other rights.
amendment 2
The second amendment states that all citizens have the right to bear arms. This means that you have the right to own a gun.
amendment 3
The third amendment says that anybody in the millitary may not occupie anyones home without permission. It does not matter if it is a time of war or peace they may not occupie anyones home.
amendment 4
No police officer may search or invade peoples property. If they have a good reason to search around in their property, possessions, etc... Then they must be granted a warent by the goverment for a search.
amendment 5
Amendment five states that the acused has a right to a trial. The acused may have witnesses of his chose in court. You cannot be acused for the same crime twice.
amendment 6
This amendment states that the accused has a right ot a speedy trial, and to know the charges against him/her self. They have the right to ask questions to wittnesess and hear what they saw. The accussed also has the right to an attorney from the government.
amendment 7
This amendment states that you can be sued for at least 20$. It also says that once a jugde has made his or her decision it cannot be changed.
amendment 8
This amendment says that before a trial happens you have a right to a low payment for bail. After the trial happens you may not be punished crully or unusually.
amendment 9
You have natural born rights in the U.S. if you are an american citizen. The goverment may not take away these rights.
amendment 10
This amendment states that the government gets its just powers from the people. Also that all the powers the government doesn't get, the people get.
